INTRODUCTION
Internationally recognised as one of Europe's watersports meccas, Cornwall's 326 miles of spectacular coastline draws both novices and experts to the county.
Idyllic conditions and mild climate have enabled Cornwall to play host to a huge variety of prestigious water-based events in recent years including the World Surfing Championships, Windsurfing World Cup and numerous international sailing competitions.
Indeed, no region in Britain offers such a diversity of conditions. So whether your pleasure is riding the giant Atlantic surf or merely pottering along a scenic creek or estuary you'll find Cornwall has what you are looking for... in abundance.
This guide will give you an insight into some of the watersports opportunities and facilities available in the region.
Produced by the organisers of Cornwall 98, the World Watersports Festival in association with the Cornwall Tourist Board, the guide is the result of careful research. While every effort's been made to ensure the accuracy of this guide, we regret that no liability can be accepted for errors, omissions or any inconvenience arising therefrom.
